I accidently purchased these, thinking they were the ones I got for my dogs. I gave them to my son who has a cat and she just loves them.

Our poor old cat is quite arthritic and on cold, rainy, Oregon days, she limps about the house going from one heating vent to the other. Happy Hips seem to give her some relief and she certainly likes the taste.

The pricing is very fair and way lower than similar items sold at my vet’s office.

Happy Hips are a wonderful addition to my cats’ ( I have 5 ) diet. However, when I purchased the 10 pack of Happy Hips, to my disgust, seven of them were moldy right out of the chute. I opened one, found a wad of mold in the center, washed my hands and repeated the process four times before I found one package mold-free. I found two more moldy packages before I found the other two “clean” packs. When I contacted the company, they sent another type of product as replacement and a shipping label to return the moldy Happy Hips.(Which I threw away as I opened each one) Don’t get me wrong; Happy Hips are loved by all my cats, but the texture has become closer to jerky than they were when I started using them. For me; this is not a problem because I chop them up to prevent hurting my cats’ mouth. I love the whole concept of “all natural with no preservatives”, but there has to be a natural preservative to prevent this mold issue.

My cat used to love these a year ago when I got them for her. When I bought them again this year, the product looks different (looks whiter and more flakier) and my cat won’t eat it.

My cat was taking a different brand of glucosamine treats before and both my husband and myself hated giving them to her because they smelled like rotten black licorice. She didn’t really like eating them either and they were always the last thing she ate out of her dish. These “Happy Hips” are so much better! It’s basically chicken jerky and she gobbles them up. I’m glad that I found something to help her joints that she actually likes to eat.
